A Note From the CEO: This is Location Management

From the earliest days of Leasecake, the simple question we asked before we wrote the first line of code was, “If everyone in business owns or leases a location, where’s the app for that?

It ended up being the Big Idea.

Well, we built the app (and won some global awards along the way), quickly gained an enthusiastic customer base, and began describing our software as “lease and location management made easy.”  Our customers quickly understood why we intentionally used a new industry term “location management” – because the platform is more than just lease administration. It’s designed to help multi-location tenants stay on top of everything related to running their business from the time they sign an LOI through the lifecycle of a location.

There are dozens — potentially hundreds — of obligations you need to track, remember, and act on when operating a portfolio of leased locations. Therefore, what we offer is an end-to-end real estate management system – that’s easy to use.

The Easy Button for Commercial Real Estate

Leasecake specializes in real estate management for companies whose business is not real estate. For example, real estate is an essential ingredient for a restaurant franchisee. But that owner’s talents lie primarily in preparing high quality food, providing great service, and a growing customer base — not real estate management.

That’s where Leasecake comes in.

We’re here to minimize headaches and ensure compliance for our customers while providing them immediate access to relevant information – Fast answers!  They depend on Leasecake to help them track location-specific obligations such as contract renewals, assets, franchise agreements, and certificates of insurance. If an element of your business involves a date or dollar, you can visualize and store it in our system while also receiving automatic notifications for responsible parties and key stakeholders.

Aside from the technology, our in-house real estate team is a crucial differentiator for Leasecake. This group of attorneys, paralegals, and lease auditors is an extension of your real estate team. They ensure accurate abstractions, quality assurance, and complete lease document review and analysis.

Through our years of experience at other software companies, we learned that customers would likely never give new software a second chance if they can’t immediately understand how to use it. As a result, we’ve always focused on “consumer-centric” design in our user interface.

Everything in Leasecake is easy to navigate, consume, and understand.

We got there by applying a simple analogy to every design decision: If Leasecake isn’t as easy to use as HubSpot, Dropbox, LinkedIn, or Gmail, then we’re doing something wrong. People use those services daily without needing an instruction manual, and we focus on being just as intuitive.

And nowhere is that effort more evident than in the feedback we hear from customers and the reviews they leave on G2, a peer-to-peer review site that helps people make smarter software buying decisions. So I’m excited to share that we are now ranked as the easiest to use, have the fastest implementation, and the easiest setup.

It’s very hard to make things very easy. But it’s also gratifying. Seeing those reviews tells us all the late nights, spirited debates, and hard work were worth it.
